She is awake!

While she still sleeps a lot, she is wakeful a lot more of the day. We got to try out the Skip Hop playground today. She liked the sounds, though she can't really see the animals and use her hands to manipulate them yet.

Girls and girls

Our good friend Charity's daughter Lila stopped by today and got to hold Matilda. She did a great job.

Then she put a glitter hat on Miles.

It was a good visit.

Handmade and handheld

My mother made that plaid shirt for my father way back when. It feels pretty amazing to be wearing it while holding my own daughter!

One week!

Matilda has been in this world one week. In 20 years I am going to look back at this picture and wonder where this munchkin went.

Getting out of the house

We made the first trip walking around town today. We went to the Buds class at Birth Roots. The moby wrap is a wonderful thing. I will definitely be using it around the house.

First bath

Went as well as to be expected. Not too upset by the bath, but didn't like getting naked and then havingn to get dressed again.
