34 months!

I can:
- Express when I want attention verbally
- Being bossy

- Jump off 1 step
- Remember the lyrics to songs quickly
- Draw people with heads, arms, legs, eyes, mouth, nose, and hair (and occasionally a bum)
- Do Find and Seek activities (finding specific images in a larger, cluttered picture)

- Identify 2 of something without counting

- Try to draw a few letters (E, F, M, L, I, T, O) that are almost recognizable

Matilda now draws people! They are heads with legs and arms. But just theee days ago they were mouths with legs and arms! 

Voting

I voted. For the first time I got teary eyed filling in the bubble next to a candidate's name. Matilda and I are proudly wearing our red, white and blue. Oh, and Matilda is carrying around her Hillary Clinton finger puppet and saying "I'm with her."

Almost every day, this is how she is waiting for me to get to her. Dressed, in bed, and surrounded by books. She tried to read "One Fish, Two Fish" to me this morning. 

Bubble Wrap

Too much fun to be had tonight. So much fun, about 20 minutes after I put her down, she was dressed with the lights on and trying to open the door. She had actually thought she had slept all night and it was morning. She didn't believe me until I showed her how dark it was outside. Kids....

31 Months!

Caleb is a friend who just had a baby named Wynn that Matilda adores.

Matilda has been into ballerinas lately. We found a tutu and ballet shoes and she has been practicing her twirling. I see the beginnings of a halloween costume in her future.

We have had a few friends who have had new babies recently and Matilda is trying her hand at being a mommy.

-Open twist-tops on milk jugs and bottles

-Understand that reading comes from the words, so I point out speech bubbles and ask what they say
-Use pronouns I, she, he, we, you, they correctly
-Feel sorry for hitting and apologize
