Snow camel!

 Lots of fun with our first snow of the season. It was so heavy, we couldn’t put the snowman pieces on each other, so we turned it into a camel. 

Chorus Concert

Matilda is in a chorus and they had their winter concert. She was poised and did well. Beatrice was in awe of the “princesses” (the older girls in fancy dresses)

Thanksgiving 4 Miler

 Thanksgiving 4 Miler in the books. Matilda again beat me (34:20 vs 36:08). But it was some of the fastest miles we have both run. She was bummed she got 4th in her age group, but it is just motivation to keep going for next year.

Halloween 2022

 

For weeks Bea has wanted to be a butterfly. 

But right before going out decided to change into a ballerina costume. 

Hermione approves. 

Great Pumpkin 10K

 So proud of this girl. Last year she saw Craig run the Great Pumpkin 10K and wanted to do it, too. So she and I started a couch to 10K program in April with the plan to complete it at the race this year. We had our ups and downs all summer (running in the heat sucks) and scheduling in the fall, but she achieved her goal! And she CREAMED me. She ran with our neighbor Lucas and they pulled ahead at 1.5 miles. 😂 Matilda finished in 55:50, I finished in 58:20. She won first place for her age group (she was the only under 18 female.) and I won nothing. Onto speed work this winter to do better next year.

 Matilda did her first cross country race today. 3/4mi. She did it in 6:24!

We had a lot of fun at Old Orchard Beach with Matilda’s friend Juliet’s family. 

 

State Track Meet

 What a great end to the summer track and field season. 

5th in the 800 race wall and 6th in the 200m. She was bummed she didn’t get a medal, but she got ribbons and to March in the parade.
