So proud of this girl. Last year she saw Craig run the Great Pumpkin 10K and wanted to do it, too. So she and I started a couch to 10K program in April with the plan to complete it at the race this year. We had our ups and downs all summer (running in the heat sucks) and scheduling in the fall, but she achieved her goal! And she CREAMED me. She ran with our neighbor Lucas and they pulled ahead at 1.5 miles. 😂 Matilda finished in 55:50, I finished in 58:20. She won first place for her age group (she was the only under 18 female.) and I won nothing. Onto speed work this winter to do better next year.
