Embroidery

 Matilda has been taking an embroidery class at school and did this little project today. It was supposed to be a needle punch, but we adjusted to embroidery.

Great Pumpkin 10k

 Without training, Matilda ran the Great Pumpkin 10k again. She got second place (beat by 5 seconds) by a 10 year old. Maybe next year she will train and do better! (She was 5-6 min slower than last year.)

Bea decided to join Craig in his last few feet of the race, too.

7/27 meet and qualifiers

2nd place race walk

First time competing in high jump!

 And at qualifiers, she automatically qualified for the race walk because only 4 kids had signed up. 

She got 5th in the 1500m, so not headed to states. 

And got 3’ in high jump and then banged into the pole. Good form, but didn’t make it to qualify.

Matilda came in 30th in the 200m (41.11)

14th in the 800m (3:44)

And 2nd in the 800m race walk (5:34)

At the 2nd race she:

800m race walk: 3rd (5:56)

800m in 9th (4:48)

200m in 31st (42:92)
